Going to a knitting café without project would be ridiculous. Going with a new project is risky. How about the needle size? How about gauge? To make a long story short, I hadn't read all pattern through so I didn't have some scrape yarn for a provisional cast on. But gauge looked promising. Luckily I had an extra skein Celtic from Bergère de France bought the day before for 1 euro and a pattern for the adult booties from Ysolda. Gauge was ok, some knitting outdoors at the seaside, some knitting before the play started. So by the time I got home, I had no more yarn. Finally I could try it on, and I saw my thought was right. With another 2 stitches off (so 4 less than the original design) I might be able to make a bootie out of one skein. The yarn is great by the way, I'm in love (again).
